Cedar Restain in Wanaka

This project involved restoring and re-staining exterior cedar cladding on a modern Wānaka home. Over time, the cedar had weathered unevenly, with areas of fading and darkening from sun exposure and alpine conditions.

We carefully prepared the timber to ensure an even finish and strong stain penetration, then applied a fresh coat of exterior cedar stain to revive the natural colour and grain of the wood. The result is a richer, more consistent finish that enhances the architectural lines of the home while providing long-term protection against UV and moisture.

Cedar homes in the Wānaka and Queenstown Lakes region require regular maintenance, and this restain has brought the timber back to life while helping extend its lifespan for years to come.
