Cedar Wash, Brighten & Oil, Wānaka
Weathered cedar brought back to a warm timber finish in Wānaka with a wash, brighten, light sand and one coat of Dryden WoodOil.
The cedar cladding on this Wānaka home had developed a faded, uneven appearance. The work covered the cedar gables, side cladding and sheltered entrance, with the before-and-after photos showing the change in colour and grain.
We washed and brightened the cedar using Dryden Surface Cleaner and TimberClean, then gave it a light sand before applying one coat of Dryden WoodOil.
The finished cedar has a richer, warmer tone that sits well against the dark metal cladding and window frames. The natural character of the timber remains visible across the boards.
